A little fun

This is a card that I made for a friend at work.  His birthday is this week and he loves the Angry Red Bird game.  I hope that he likes the card half as much as he does his game-time during his breaks!!

Easter projects

Just a quick post today, to share a few Easter projects.  The first was the card that we made at an Easter class a few weeks ago.  I made up a few extra for my family.

This is the card that I made for my parents.  I really wanted to use my new Bigz Fun Flower die for the Big Shot.  It also permitted me to try making a square card using the scallop square die.

And last, but not least, is a carrot that I made using the Petal Cone die as an Easter decoration.  I threaded some ribbon through a button and so the carrot can be filled with goodies for the kids, young and old!  I saw this on Angie Kenedy Juda`s site: http://chicnscratch.typepad.com/chicnscratchlive/ and wanted to try it myself.  After I cut out the cone, I passed it through the big shot again, using the Distressed Impressions Pad from the Texture Plates kit #4.
I hope that you enjoyed your Easter with your loved ones.

Kayla`s baby shower

Hi, today I thought that I would share a card that I made for my cousin Kayla.  Her baby shower was yesterday.  As you can probably already guess, she is having a boy!!
I used a retired stamp set "Wild About You" for the card and the Nursery Suite dsp from the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue.  I wanted it to match her gift
which uses Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Bashful Blue and Daffodil Delight.  I also used Crumb Cake on the card.
So, here is her gift, it is a   12 x 12 shadow box that contains 16, 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 squares that I decorated using different stamp sets (new and old), many punches and the Big Shot as well.  I saw this on Michelle Surette`s web-site and knew immediately that I had to make one of these.  If you`d like to see Michelle`s original version, please visit her site:
If you would like a list of the stamp sets, punches or Big Shot products that I used, please send me a message and I would be happy to tell you.
I have a few favourite squares; the star and the moon on the bottom corner with the clouds that I made using the build-a-cupcake punch.  The clouds are actually the muffin tops that I adhered lots of glitter to.
The simplicity of the onesie that came from the Baby Tees jumbo wheel.  I used the diamond pattern on the piece of Whisper White card stock under it, using the Texturz Backgrounds #1 plate. I also used it on the card that I made so that the card would match the gift.  Well, I could go on and on, so why don`t I let you tell me which squares you like instead!!
I will be back soon with a few Easter cards.  Have a great day.

SU! Montréal Regional event

Finally, the day has arrived!!!  Today I am
going to a Stampin'Up! Regional event in Montréal.  I am sooo excited to meet other demonstrator`s, including my up-line, Grace.  We have only ever spoken on the phone and communicate by e-mail, so this is going to be a very exciting day all around.  This event is organized so that we can meet other demos, learn new techniques and share ideas.
I made myself a notebook and a matching pen lastnight to go with
the cards that I made for our card swap.
I made 3 different cards, using different pieces of designer series paper from the Suite Stitches dsp on my cards because I only decided on a model a few weeks ago
(see post dated March 17th).  I was having
a terrible time deciding what to do for my make-n-take cards until my Mom asked me to make a birthday card for her sister, Laura.  So, Thank you, Mom for inspiring my projects.

This first card is a little different.
I stepped it up a bit to give to Grace.  I changed the ribbon, added a Sweet Stitches Fabric designer brad and added pearls onto the bottom of my card.

These are the cards that I am going to swap with other demos.
Except for the dsp being different, the cards are the same.  I guess that next time I will
have to start planning a little earlier and have more supplies on hand, LOL.
Speaking of which, my sister-in-law, Tracey really saved me by giving me some cardstock.  I would have had to change the tempting turquoise for another colour and I would not have achieved the same result... so THANK YOU Tracey!!  Grace also mailed me a few sheets of wild wasabi so that I could make the 50 cards for the swap that I wanted to do.
I really appreciate both of you very much for helping me out when I needed it.

Thanks for looking and I hope that you like the cards and the notebook that I made as much as I do.
